Public Lecture by Gökce Yurdakul

CAPS is pleased to host a public lecture by Professor Gökce Yurdakul, Humbolt University of Berlin on "Jews, Muslims, and self-representations--The Headscarf and Male Ritual Circumcision Debates in Germany.”

Professor Gökce Yurdakul is the Georg Simmel Professor of Diversity and Social Conflict at the Humboldt University and the Chair in the Department of Foundations of Migration Research at the Berlin Institute of Migration and Integration Research. She received her PhD. from the University of Toronto, Department of Sociology and has most recently been a visiting scholar at the Harvard University, Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.

The lecture is open to the public.
